Beautiful

This can't turn out well......

Back when teachers were respected

Good for something

Lovely lovely.....

A flag that once held so many promises

Yesterday morning I stepped off my porch and headed to my truck in the predawn darkness. As I reached the bottom step, a gentle breeze blew my American flag across my face, giving it a gentle caress. I didn't brush it away, I hesitated, enjoying the moment.
I love that flag for what it represented in the past. It used to represent the greatest Nation on earth, equal opportunities, Freedom, Liberty and Justice for all. It used to represent the American Dream where anybody had a chance for success if they were willing to work for it. It used to represent a Nation of individualism. It used to represent family values and personal responsibility, integrity and determination.

Not any longer. Now it represents a Nation of self serving politicians who wish to strip us of our Civil Rights. It represents the Me, Right Now people, sheeple that depend on mine and your work and labor for their life of leisure. It represents those who wish to take our personal Freedoms. It represents sexual deviants and their 'rights' to corrupt our children in school. It represents police forces that shoots our citizens and dogs to protect their own safety while they trample our Rights. It represents a government that seeks total and complete control over their subjects. It represents a government of traitors and scoundrels.

They only reason I fly that flag today is for the memory of those that fought and those who died in a vain attempt to preserve the principles that made this Nation great.

I'll continue to fly my flag out of respect for those who bought and paid for it with their American blood, but I'll be damned if I'll be buried under it. When my day comes, my simple pine casket will be covered in my III flag, a flag that I believe in, a symbol of a movement that wants to return my Nation and birthright to the glory it once was. That flag desires a return to every single principle that this Nation was founded on. That flag represents Patriots such as  Patrick Henry, Nathan Hale, Crispus Attucks, Thomas Paine, Ethan Allen and John Parker. My name is not worthy to be mentioned in the same breath as theirs but their actions will accompany me with that flag to my grave. I'll take comfort in that fact.
God Bless the Patriots of Old that are in our hearts today. God, grant me their determination and bravery.

But... but... but we're the feds!!!

A government lawyer’s attempt to get dismissed nearly $700 in traffic tickets given to the U.S. Postal Service is being met with a hearty and humorous, Heck no.
In a Jan. 22 letter sent to both the city of East Cleveland, Ohio, and the company that operates the city's photo-enforcement program, Postal Service attorney Jennifer S. Breslin says two school-zone speeding citations and five red-light infractions by postal trucks in December should be ignored.
“In providing mail service across the country, the Postal Service attempts to work within local and state laws and regulations, when feasible,” wrote Breslin, after reminding “To Whom It May Concern” that postal workers promptly deliver over 200 billion pieces of mail annually.
“However, as you are probably aware, the Postal Service enjoys federal immunity from state and local regulation,” she continued.

I never figured they had immunity but I've always given postal workers a wide berth - they often drive on the shoulders on the wrong side of the road while misdelivering the mail, they sit on the wrong side of the vehicle, their concentration is focused on something other than their driving and last but not least I don't want them to nut up on me and start shooting.

I gotta get me one of those shotguns - it has absolutely no recoil at all, just like those Hollywood guns.
The funny thing is that if you go to the source of the picture, it warns against photoshopping it.

The Eye In The Sky in Ohio

Dayton City Commission is considering a request to hire a local company to provide airborne surveillance for police.
The commission originally was scheduled to vote on the contract today. However, city officials said Tuesday afternoon that a vote is being delayed until commissioners can discuss the proposal in a public work session next Wednesday.
According to an agenda the city released Monday, commissioners are considering a $120,000 contract with Persistent Surveillance Systems for wide-area surveillance for the police department. PSS has operations in Beavercreek, Xenia and at Dayton’s Tech Town business park.
Ross McNutt, PSS president, said Tuesday surveillance services would come from a piloted aircraft flying above the city at about 10,000 feet. PSS provides the plane and the pilot, he said.
The plane will be able to monitor an area as large as Dayton’s entire downtown, McNutt said. Only with reports of crimes or instructions from police would the company’s equipment focus closely on specific areas, he said.
PSS camera systems boast a sensitivity 10 times greater than that of IMAX cameras (8.84 million pixels), McNutt, a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, said last year.

Your favorite Tactical/Fighting blades?

Hey, I was wondering what kind of tactical folding or fighting knife ya'll are carrying. Comment on the brand and model, blade length, serrated or straight edge, that kind of shit. Are you carrying them strictly for fighting or are using them as utility knives also? Why that particular knife?
You can post anonymous on this post for this.

My latest one is the SOG Pentagon Elite. I did a write up a few weeks back (you can read my review HERE) and I'm still so goddamned impressed with it that it's a daily carry, no matter where I am. I've yet to cut so much as a string with it - strictly for my defense.

But what about you folks?

John's Gunnar

Good looking dog, Gunnar is.

Update: Jose and the Yellowed Paper

A bunch of folks after reading about Jose and the Yellowed Paper asked me to keep y'all updated. Well, until today he hadn't said another word to me other his usual Good Morning. But today I was sitting in the locker room trying to finish my book and he came in and sat down. He pulled his dirty, greasy pocket Constitution (Dirty, greasy pocket Constitutions are good - that means they're well used) and started reading to himself and then asked my opinion, commencing our lesson.
I learned a lot.
Seriously, I got nothing on this motherfucker. Granted, he'd had to seriously study for his citizenship and it shows, but when he can quote our Founding Fathers, Paine and others verbatim, he's got me licked.

My annual non-offensive-to-anybody post

If anybody's offended by this post they can kiss my motherfucking ass.

Mindblowing

And you know there's somebody out there in a bass boat using a graphite rod making just one last cast.....

KRQE in Albuquerque, New Mexico, reports that the Department of Homeland Security – the federal agency initially established to protect the United States from terrorists and respond to natural disasters – has used its ICE division to bust a gun collector.
Federal Homeland Security Investigation agents raided the home of Robert Adams on Thursday and seized 548 handguns and 317 rifles from the collector. They also raided his business and took an additional 599 handguns.
KRQE reports that Adams did not violate any laws and was not charged with any crimes. It said the DHS, however, is not finished with Adams and he may be charged with gun smuggling, tax evasion and violating importation laws.

Word verification is back on - I woke up this morning and had 512 (!!!) comments, less than a dozen I could find that were legitimate.
Sorry, but that gives me a choice of posting or wading through spam for real comments. Don't have time for both.
If you put up a comment in last night or this morning and it didn't get posted, sorry.

Yeah, this don't do much for me.

A tragedy for men

A doctor has been gunned down inside an examination room at his Southern California medical office where the suspected shooter surrendered to cops.
Police received reports at about 2:45 pm of six or seven shots fired at the medical office near Hoag Hospital in Orange County, Newport Beach police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe said.
Officers responding to a call of possible gunshots found a man dead from multiple bullet wounds to the upper torso in a patient examination room on the building's second floor, Lowe said.

Dr Gilbert is also the founder and chief scientist at Absorption Pharmaceuticals LLC, the makers of a drug called Promescent, which is dedicated to curing premature ejaculation.

I hate those goddamned gophers. I don't know what it is about my front yard but I must have a colony of them living there. The neighbors on either side have no problem with them, but one morning I walked out and there were NINE fucking gopher mounds in mine. Looks like a fucking war zone with all those fucking mounds and gopher corpses out there.

Gun beats scissors every time, man. Every time.

WASHINGTON — Is your workplace getting shot up by a crazed gunman?
No problem — just grab a pair of scissors and fight back!
That’s some of the helpful advice in a new instructional video from the Department of Homeland Security that was posted on the agency’s Web site just a month after the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.
“If you are caught out in the open and cannot conceal yourself or take cover, you might consider trying to overpower the shooter with whatever means are available,” says the narrator in the video, which shows an office worker pulling scissors out of a desk drawer.

Texas Assistant DA shot and killed

A Kaufman County assistant district attorney was shot dead outside the courthouse Thursday, spurring a complete lockdown of the grounds and an active search for the two shooters.
Kaufman County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Pat Laney said the suspects ambushed the assistant DA on his way in to court and shot him multiple times at about 8:50 a.m. They then fled the scene. The courthouse was locked down and later closed for the day. The victim's name has not been released because his family has not been notified.
During a press conference, Sheriff David Burns and Police Chief Chris Aulbaugh said the prosecutor was heading to misdemeanor court when he was assaulted and gunned down. Investigators are combing through his case load to find any suspects who may have held a grudge.

Well, if they're looking for anybody that might've held a grudge..... If' he's prosecuted 500 cases in his career, I'm thinking they have 500 suspects so far. Then if you include the families of the prosecuted you can add another 1500-2000 to that list. Then if you want to include friends of the prosecuted......
Gonna be interesting how this plays out. Was it a cartel hit, bad blood, or a couple of Patriots that got tired of the shit?

It's an uphill battle, folks.

I swear to God above and all that's holy, this is an actual letter to the editor in my local smut sheet, The Modesto Bee. If you don't believe me, click on the link below the letter.

I'm so sick of these gun nuts who keep crying about their rights and the Second Amendment. If they really read it, they would find it doesn't say anything about assault guns that had 30 rounds or more, it's talking about rifles for hunting or handguns for protecting the home. The next time there is a mass killing, the NRA should have to dig the graves with their bare hands.

SACRAMENTO — California authorities are empowered to seize weapons owned by convicted felons and people with mental illness, but staff shortages and funding cuts have left a backlog of more than 19,700 people to disarm, a law enforcement official said Tuesday.
Those gun owners have roughly 39,000 firearms, said Stephen Lindley, chief of the Bureau of Firearms for the state Department of Justice, testifying at a joint legislative hearing. His office lacks enough staff to confiscate all the weapons, which are recorded in the state's Armed Prohibited Persons database, he said.
The gun owners typically acquired the firearms legally, before being convicted of a felony or diagnosed with mental illness. Each year, the state investigates and seizes the guns of about 2,000 people on the Armed Prohibited Persons list, Lindley said, but each year about 3,000 names are added to the list.
"Despite our best efforts, the bureau does not have the funding or resources to keep up with this annual influx," he told the 15 assembled lawmakers.

Obama lied? Why, I'm shocked!

News of President Obama's apparently long-secret fondness for skeet shooting came as a surprise to those who say they have witnessed the president's "awkward" attempts at pinging the (clay) pigeons.
This has only happened with the president at Camp David, at most, a couple of times, according to a source who says he has been to the retreat on a half-dozen visits with Obama.
"The only time he shot skeet was for President's Cup," said the source, referring to a shooting competition tradition involving the presidential Marine guards. "I was there. He stayed for about five minutes, and couldn't leave fast enough."
Skeet shooting "is very hard," said the source. "Especially for someone not used to guns ... He couldn't have been more uncomfortable."

Changes

Motherfuckers have been bitching and whining about my new template (which I changed to because other motherfuckers were bitching and whining about the old one being too hard on their eyes) taking too long to load.
Fine, goddammit. I just changed it from loading 5 days worth of content per page to 2 days worth. See if that works for you.
